Departure from Cusco before dawn (4:00 a.m.), traveling by tourist transport through the picturesque landscapes of the South Valley to reach Cusipata.

Vehicle ascent along the high-Andean road to the starting point of the trek (4,800 meters above sea level), surrounded by the vastness of the Vilcanota Range.
