Early in the morning, depart for the Mejía Lagoons National Sanctuary, one of Peru’s most important coastal wetlands and a rewarding destination for birdwatchers. Explore its lagoons, reed beds and coastal habitats in search of resident and migratory species. Depending on the season, sightings may include herons, gulls, cormorants, shorebirds and other species that use these wetlands as an important resting and feeding ground.
